The Publidisa 2012 e-Forum takes place today in the ABC Museum of Madrid. This year’s topic is “The rebirth of the publishing industry” and the debate is about the current and future status of the book business.

It is evident that the new technologies have completely transformed the sector and the publishing panorama. They have provided new book formats and new opportunities for publishers. As part of the sector, we want to share what we know by giving a talk on “Semantic e-book enhancement techniques”, where the speaker will be our Business Development Manager, Susana Martín. Publidisa, a digital content distributor, is responsible for organising the event every year. It attracts experts, professionals and publishing sector representatives. Each edition contains debates about the sector’s status and its future, and know-how, experience and strategies are shared with a view to making the most of the opportunities provided by the new technologies.

Besides the talks, the event also has an exhibition of products and services provided by firms related to the application of the new technologies in the book world.
