What are the benefits of video interpretation?

Our team can advise you on preparing for the meeting, and our interpreter technicians can assist you with technology and equipment.

You can avoid physical meetings in cases of illness or risk of infection, or when a physical meeting is simply not possible.

You avoid hotel and travel costs.

You get access to a wider range of interpreters because you don’t need the interpreter to be physically present.

Remote simultaneous interpreting, RSI

Remote simultaneous interpreting (RSI) means that communication is interpreted from one language to another while the speech is taking place.

01

RSI takes place through a browser-based platform adapted for simultaneous interpretation.

Meeting participants connect to the platform from their respective locations and can speak as well as listen to their desired language through real-time, i.e. simultaneous, interpretation.

02

Simultaneous online interpretation not only places high demands on the interpreter, but also on the equipment and technical expertise.

Our interpreters will either be in a technician-controlled studio environment, a hub or at home.

03

Semantix has access to several meeting platforms particularly suited for remote simultaneous interpreting purposes.

Before the meeting, we have a conversation with you and recommend the right platform and solution for your meeting.

Consecutive interpreting

Consecutive interpreting means that the speaker and interpreter take turns talking.

The interpreter listens to the speaker and then reproduces the speech in another language, usually by using supporting notes.
