How to perform review for Semantix

The purpose of review is to check an assignment to ensure that the target text is correct and appropriate for the agreed aim. This must be done by someone other than the person who did the translation. Review can sometimes be the examination of a text that has been written, for example, in English by someone who does not have English as their mother tongue. There is not always a source text.

      We calculate a productivity of about 1,500 to 2,000 words/hour.

      How to proceed

      1. Revise each target segment and make any necessary changes.
      2. Add a comment if you want to communicate with the original author or ask something. Please remember to always communicate in a respectful way.

      What should a review include?

      In a review (examination of the target text), the following must be ensured:

      1. that the content is appropriate for the agreed objective
      2. that the spelling, punctuation and figures are correct
      3. that the terminology is consistent and follows current industry terminology
      4. that the translation is idiomatically correct
      5. that any required target group adaptation has been carried out
      6. that any provided reference material has been used
      7. that the project has been delivered in accordance with the Purchase Order and other project instructions.

      The project manager will state if any changes should be directly incorporated into the document for final delivery to a customer or if a track changes function is to be used.
