Semantix is a trusted supplier of various customers within the Swedish public sector, such as universities and governmental agencies. We work with a wide range of texts in different subject areas, from general information materials to complex academic texts on a variety of topics.

      Official documents with personal data

We often translate and revise official non-editable and/or handwritten documents (e.g. grade transcripts, certificates and identity documents) from public sector clients. As these documents usually contain personal data, there is an emphasis on information security.

Important to keep in mind when handling these documents

      • The job must be performed within the EU/EEA or in a country with adequate data protection and the files must not leave these areas.
      • The use of public machine translation (e.g. Google Translate) or file-sharing freeware (e.g. WeTransfer and Dropbox) is prohibited.
      • The use of converter freeware is prohibited.
      • All discs processing data from Semantix should be encrypted.
      • No files can be sent via regular e-mail.
      • All Semantix files and data related to assignments must be deleted 90 days after the final delivery of each assignment.

In case you would like to use certain programs installed on your computer, you can always check with Vendor Management whether that is possible or not.

To refresh your knowledge about information security, we encourage you to visit and consult our Information Security Policy and Guidelines for Suppliers.
